Rachel Eapen Paul was elected as a member of the Council of Europe’s Group of Experts on Action against Violence against Women and Domestic Violence (GREVIO) at the meeting of the state parties in Strasbourg on 24 May 2018. The group monitors the implementation of the Istanbul Convention, which was ratified by Norway in 2017.
Rachel Eapen Paul is Policy Director for Gender-Based Violence at the Office of the Equality and Anti-Discrimination Ombud in Norway and a board member of the Norwegian Women’s Lobby. She was nominated as the Norwegian government’s candidate following a proposal by the Norwegian Women’s Lobby.
