Kunstinstallasjonen Thinking of You kommer til Oslo sommeren 2026. Dette er en sterk utstilling som hedrer overlevende av seksuell vold i krig og konflikt.
Installasjonen finner du på to lokasjoner i Oslo fra 19-28 juni: Torggata og Brynjulf Bulls plass 1 (utenfor Nobels fredssenter)

The art installation Thinking of You will be coming to Oslo in the summer of 2026. This is a powerful exhibition that honors survivors of sexual violence in war and conflict.
The installation can be found at two locations in Oslo from June 19-28: Torggata and Brynjulf Bulls plass 1 (outside the Nobel Peace Center)

June 19th at 11:30 AM-12:00 PM: Public opening of the installation at Brynjulf Bulls plass 1.

Do you wish to contribute to the installation? You are welvome to donate a dress in the museum from 8-14 June between 10.00 and 18.00.
Om utstillingen:
Installasjonen består av hundrevis av skjørt og kjoler hengt på klessnorer i det offentlige rom, et sterkt visuelt uttrykk som formidler synliggjør fravær, verdighet og kollektiv delt menneskelig erfaring. En hverdagslig arbeidsoppgave - ofte gjort av kvinner - transformeres og formidler budskapet om menneskelig erfaring og oppfordring til politisk handling. Hvert plagg viser solidaritet til overlevende og deres mot. Sammen skapes et sterkt uttrykk for sorg, smerte, styrke og håp.

Kunstneren Alketa Xhafa Mripa kommer fra Kosovo og ønsker med utstillingen å vise støtte til overlevende av seksuell vold i krig - og tydelig vise at krigsforbrytelser og seksuell vold ikke skal bli møtt med stillhet.

About the exhibition: :
The installation consists of hundreds of skirts and dresses hung on clotheslines in public space, a strong visual expression that conveys the visibility of absence, dignity and collective shared human experience. An everyday work task - often done by women - is transformed and conveys the message of human experience and a call for political action. Each garment shows solidarity with survivors and their courage. Together, a strong expression of grief, pain, strength and hope is created.

The artist Alketa Xhafa Mripa comes from Kosovo and wants to show support for survivors of sexual violence in war with the exhibition - and clearly show that war crimes and sexual violence should not be met with silence.
Utstillingen kommer til Oslo sommeren 2026
I juni 2026 kommer installasjonen til Oslo, i forbindelse med FNs internasjonale dag mot seksualisert vold i konflikt. Utstillingen vil finne sted utendørs, og vil derfor bli tilgjengelig for et stort publikum. Prosjektet har tidligere vært vist i Belgia, Østerrike, Storbritannia og Haag.
I forbindelse med at installasjonen vises i Oslo, har vi flere arrangementer planlagt. Informasjon om kommende arrangementer finner dere her.
Første arrangement var forhåndslanseringen av utstillingen på Litteraturhuset i desember.

The exhibition will come to Oslo in the summer of 2026
In June 2026, the installation will come to Oslo, in connection with the UN International Day for the Elimination of Sexual Violence in Conflict. The exhibition will take place outdoors, and will therefore be accessible to a large audience. The project has previously been shown in Belgium, Austria, the United Kingdom and The Hague.
In connection with the installation being shown in Oslo, we have several events planned. Information about upcoming events can be found on our website.
The first event was the pre-launch of the exhibition at the House of Literature in Decembe
